Mr. VanGeison joined WJ Partners in 2023. He is primarily responsible for managing the firm’s investment sourcing and evaluation activities, investment strategy development and specialty finance investment efforts.

Prior to joining WJ Partners, Mr. VanGeison worked for American Credit Acceptance for 14 years in various executive management roles, including most recently as head of its commercial finance business unit. Mr. VanGeison was previously an investment professional with Johnson Management, the family office of George D. Johnson, Jr. He has an extensive background executing financial transactions while serving in various capacities at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, The Coca-Cola Company and SunTrust Bank.

Mr. VanGeison graduated with a BBA in International Business (Finance concentration) from the University of Georgia and earned his MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. His active involvement in the Spartanburg community includes currently serving on the Board of Trustees of the Spartanburg Day School as well as previously serving on the Board of Directors of PAL (Partners for Active Living) of Spartanburg.
